Here’s another rare winter visitor that sets pulses racing among Florida’s birding community. Not to the levels a Snowy Owl produces but still a mega worth twitching! The one pictured below, was one of three I saw at Huguenot Memorial Park in Jacksonville a few years ago. I’ve seen a lot of Snow Bunts back home in Britain, but as of writing the Huguenot birds remain the only ones I’ve seen in Florida. Maybe, one will show up near Tallahassee if I wish hard enough. Hey, Santa…..!
