American Robins

While I was letting our chickens out of the coop this morning I heard a very familiar call from above. It was the high pitched flight call of an American Robin. Every fall, usually in November, we start seeing flocks of this beautiful thrush flying over Tallahassee. On some days it seems there is a constant stream of them migrating over. Many of them will spend the winter in our area but many more continue south.
