White-breasted Nuthatch

If you want to add this species to your Florida list you’ll almost certainly have to visit Tallahassee. White-breasted Nuthatches are quite common in the capital. You can find them in many of the city’s parks and as you can tell from the picture below they’re not strangers to backyard bird feeders. My parents have lived on the NW side of the city for almost 12 months; they see nuthatches at their feeders quite frequently.
